Team development

Build creative and confident teams

This is a different kind of team development.

Using practical techniques from improvisational theatre and beyond, I'll help your team enhance their communication skills, teamwork, awareness, creativity, leadership and learning.

It's interactive and co-creative, and you'll be amazed at what you can do together by working as a supportive ensemble.

I offer workshops and programmes that can be face-to-face or virtual, a mix of both. I'm passionate about supporting learning with high quality materials, missions to apply the learning and coaching for individuals.

Book a call with me to talk it through in more detail.

Or read more information about applied improvisation.

"The story of the human race is the story of men and women selling themselves short."

Abraham Maslow

How is it different?

We will learn the skills and principles improvisers use to be present,  connected to what's happening and responsive to each other.

We will work on awareness, flexibility, empathy, presence and creativity, which no bodies of knowledge - they are skills that must be practiced so we will give them time and space to grow.

There are tons of applications and this approach is well suited to developing creative and confident leaders and supportive ensembles.

It's also different because we could work together in a performance space, such a theatre, or include a live performance by a team of improvisers in your learning experience.

We will do interactive exercises together with no pressure to clever or 'good'.

We will laugh, play and not take ourselves too seriously as we step into the moment!

You'll have a friendly guide taking you step-by-step to surprising successes.

You will find new ways to relax, let go, connect with people and step into the here and now.

Just get in touch if you'd like to talk about doing this.

"...yes I said yes I will Yes."
James Joyce, Ulysses

How does it work?

We will take it step-by-step through playful exercises that encourage creativity and openness, and work our way into activities where your team will feel the exhilaration of stepping boldly into the unknown.

Each exercise is really just an excuse for a debrief, and some side coaching to help dial down the inner critic and to dial up generosity, collaboration and commitment. By the end you'll be amazed how far you've come and what your colleagues can do.

These sessions are the perfect fit for away days and conferences, and can also be delivered as short online sessions during the working day.

In the room I generally suggest groups of 8 or more and online groups can be any size.
